Communications & Marketing Manager

£27,000+ per annum, based on experience

Overview:

This exciting hybrid role is ideal for someone with corporate communications and marketing experience ready for the next stage of their career in a busy, growing, and ambitious company.

The corporate communications aspect will include (but not limited to) working closely with the Executive Directors, understanding their long-term vision and project goals, then translating that into easy-to-understand content (and actionable plans) that can be communicated to employees and/or external companies via internal/external channels (i.e. company intranet, PR activities, etc.).

 

Marketing activities include working closely with the Executive Directors, learning on the job, and providing marketing support to The Needham Group of companies as required. Knowing marketing fundamentals, being highly organised, and able to manage your time between varied projects will be keys to success in this role.

 

The marketing aspect involves supporting marketing and sales activities across the group – whether through email campaigns, printed collateral, PR events, or other activity using your graphic design skills.  The ability to write and edit content and manage the group’s social media channels are also important to the role.

 

The ideal candidate is confident, tenacious, and familiar with standard office software packages such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Experience with graphic design software (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator) would be very advantageous.

 

Those with a marketing degree or equivalent qualification would be well suited to this role.  Those with a journalism, PR, or communications background are also encouraged to apply.

Enthusiasm, an inquisitive mind, and keen attention to detail are essential to this position.

The Needham Group Ltd. is based in Whitchurch, Shropshire and the job will be based in our Head Office at this location.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Directors to communicate corporate values and company goals to all employees
  • Shadow the Executive Directors, providing support across all group sales and marketing activities
  • Provide administrative support to sales and marketing projects and campaigns
  • Creative writing requirements across various projects and campaigns
  • Responsibility for the upkeep of all social media accounts across the group
  • Attend and contribute to sales and marketing meetings
  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams across the group to ensure accurate information is processed in a timely manner
  • Assist in ensuring the accuracy of company information to the wider world through various PR activity
  • Collate and analyse sales and marketing data
  • Contribute creatively to sales and marketing project and campaign creation
  • Other duties as required

 

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Excellent written/spoken English
  • Common sense
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Understanding and managing social media platforms
  • Ability to liaise directly with both internal and external contacts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
  • Graphics software experience advantageous
  • Good standard of numeracy
  • Experience of working in a communications, PR, sales and/or marketing role is an advantage
  • A marketing qualification would be an advantage but not essential
